Making Metrics Meaningful

How many business owner's who have a website know how many visits are coming to their site daily? Page views? Return visitors?

Imagine you were running a retail store and at the end of the day you could view a report that told you:

# of customers that came through the door
# of customers that had been in before
# of products each customer looked at
Coversion rate of shoppers/buyers
How the customers found out about your store

All of these are burning questions that in the traditional world of business, go unanswered unless you have a few thousand dollars to invest in research (which most businesses do not.)

A website can tell all of this plus more. With website metrics you gain a timely, in-depth view into your customers and their activities.

For those running an online business, metrics are a must.
